Thanks to Dr. Sepulveda I found out that my lower back problems were also due to the fact that my feet were in need of correction. The orthodics that she fitted me with has not only helped my plantar fasciitis but my constant lower back pain.

By consulting our office, you are taking an exciting first step toward better health.
We have helped a wide variety of people since we are a family oriented office.
First, you will fill out paper work about your health history and your health goals. Then an initial consultation with the doctor to discuss your health problems and determine what may be the cause. We also provide education if you are not familiar with holistic medicine and chiropractic care. A comprehensive examination and evaluation including those tests necessary to determine the precise cause of your problem.
This physical examination will include but are not limited to orthopedic exams, neurological exams, postural imbalances, gait analysis, muscular inequalities, evaluation of joint mechanics (abnormalities of joint movement), spinal and muscle palpation. Other methods or instruments may be used to verify the findings. The doctor will advise you if additional laboratory tests or x-rays are needed. This examination will help us to determine the areas of your spine and extremities that are locked, fixated &/or misaligned and what are the contributing factor(s) to the cause of your problems. Treatment on the first visit will depend upon the specifics of your condition.
Report Of Findings
After testing and diagnosis, you will receive a report of the doctor’s findings. We will show you what we found and the conclusions we have reached. Recommendations for treatment and a program designed to correct the cause of your problem. The doctor will explain what’s wrong, what can be done to treat the problem (in acute, chronic, and wellness stages), how long will it take and how much will it cost. We will design a short term and long term program for you depending on your condition.
Our programs are individualized and specialize to match your special needs.
This may include spinal adjustments, extremity manipulations, passive &/or active ranges of motion and mobilization.
Physical therapy such as: ice, heat, interferential current, electrical stimulation, ultra sound, russian stem, tens or micro-current.
Soft tissue treatments such as: trigger point therapy, acupressure, hydrotherapy massage, myofasial release technique (MRT)/active release technique (ART) and massage therapy.
Rehabilitative programs such as: strength & conditioning, personal training (functional exercises), work conditioning, gait analysis and orthotic casting.
Life style recommendations and coaching such as: ergonomics, exercise technique analysis & performance for athletes and professional sports players, nutritional counceling, cleansing and detox programs, weigh loss and nutritional supplements.
The specifics of your condition will determine your healing phase.
Frequent treatment for example, may be required at the beginning of the acute or chronic stage. It will take continued treatment sessions to be certain that muscles, ligaments, vertebras and the nervous system are becoming more functional.
The purpose of frequent visits at the beginning will be to prepared the body for changes, is an accumulative process and consistency is the key to make and maintain body changes.
The body will require time to heal and to adapt to those new lifestyle changes. Everyone knows that each persons body is different therefore healing times differ as well. This is why we individualize each persons program to monitor their improvements and healing process, aid to brake scar tissue build-up in your body (problem area), strengthening weak muscles, stretching tight muscles and returning proper ranges of motion to the joints. As your condition improves, and your body adapts to new life-style changes the number of treatments will decrease and you can choose, wellness care to stay well and prevent relapses.
Three levels of healing in chiropractic care
Level 1
Intensive Phase Care, (Acute)
During this time, the objective is to reduce stress damage to the spine and nervous system, reduction of inflammation and symptoms. You might be in the situation where you have pain, or disease that has convinced you to seek help. Treatment helps you immediately but you have to understand healing takes time. Be willing and receptive to change your personal habits and follow the doctors advise to move the process along faster. Office visits will be frequent and your adjustments would be combined with other procedures to help offer relief. Depending upon your age, severity of condition, and lifestyle, repeated visits over weeks or months may be needed to reduce or eliminate your symptoms.
Level 2
Rehabilitative/Corrective & Strengthening Phase of Care, (Chronic)
In this phase your symptoms are gone or much improved. Increased function, mobility, strength, and energy are noticeable. Muscles and ligaments are strengthened, and scar tissue has decreased or gone. During this time, the spine, muscles, ligaments, tendons and joints are nearly or completely aligned and stable. All of these areas still need to be monitored while they become stronger and are able to hold the adjustments for longer period of time. This stage is critical. Complete correction cannot take place if you do not have your spine checked regularly. Even after you are feeling great, joints, muscles, and other soft tissues can take months, or even a year to heal. Continued treatment during this time will ensure proper healing and recovery to prevent relapse.
Rehabilitative Care, like Orthodontics for the teeth, is designed to help restore proper position and motion of spinal bones.
Level 3
Wellness & Maintenance Phase of Care
In this phase maximum health potential is achieved and the objective is maintaining optimal health. Now, your spine is holding the adjustment. This phase is similar to having your eyes checked or having your teeth cleaned. Spinal correction is reached and check ups can help and maintain your progress. Occasional visits can help catch little problems before they become serious. Wellness-minded adults like our patients, athletes, geriatrics, and moms choose this type of care for themselves and their children.
Like other preventive health measures, Maintenance Care saves time and money by helping you stay well.
